A NEW FIGURINE
We wanted to upgrade our Buddy figurine, using a more modern material. Sticking along this playful theme, the woody figurine was one of our ideas. We knew Woody's arms and legs would be made from string or bungee, as it is holding the glass frame.
INSPIRATION
What was Woody's inspiration?
One of the inspirations for Woody was a baby reading a book with its legs sticked out. This body language has a playful and innocent appeal that we wanted to incorporate with Woody.
I also really enjoyed the natural material of Woody's body. It can be integrated into a variety of decor styles.
A GLOBAL PRODUCT
What makes Woody unique?
Woody is a minimal and modern figure. It is a type of product that has a global appeal because of its minimal, yet playful nature. Fitting a Scandinavian style, the wood makes it more sustainable than plastic and it also looks more soft.
Do you see the Woody Collection growing?
After developing the picture frame, we also thought Woody would make a great wall hook so we came out with the Woody Wall Hook.
I think the Woody figurine has potential to be used in future designs because of its modern yet playful touch.
